Who We Help
Each year The Burlington Clothes Exchange selects
a new nonprofit organization to be the beneficiary of our May event.
All beneficiaries must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that work to encourage and promote women's self-sufficiency, human rights, health and well-being. We partner with organizations that are based in and work primarily in Chittenden County.
We do not fund:
- Individuals
- Organizations that do not have a programs specifically designed to benefit women and girls.
- Organizations whose sole activities are income-generation and/or charity.
- Organizations based or working primarily outside of their communities.
- Government entities, political parties, religious (non-secular) organizations, or partisan causes, including election campaigns.
Our mission is to raise money to support Burlington area organizations that are working to improve the lives of women in our community.
Expectations for Beneficiaries
We view our beneficiaries as our partners and expect the organizations we select to join us in our planning efforts.
