The Clothes Exchange of Bergen County hosts event on May 14

The Clothes Exchange of Bergen County invites savvy shoppers to save money and make over their wardrobes as they shop for a cause during Bergen County Clothes Exchange on May 14 at The Woman’s Club of Ridgewood, 215 West Ridgewood Ave., Ridgewood.

At the event, shoppers will find great prices on new, lightly used and vintage designer clothes and accessories (bags, belts, hats, jewelry, shoes) donated by fashion conscious women and area boutiques. The Bergen County Clothes Exchange will benefit Oasis – A Haven for Women and Children. Raffles and a silent auction will complete the evening and raise additional funds to benefit the organization.

“What’s wonderful about this event is that at the end of the night, women can leave feeling great. They’ve gotten some terrific deals on designer clothes, they’ve helped an extremely worthy cause, and they’ve had lots of fun doing it,” explains Lisa Halperin, co-founder of The Clothes Exchange of Bergen County.

“We encourage women to come out, bring their friends, have a glass of wine and enjoy some truly guilt-free shopping,” adds co-founder Tracy Mazie.

All proceeds from the event will go directly to Oasis, an organization dedicated to providing food, clothing, educational and other opportunities to women and their young children to help women compete in today's marketplace.

Presale (with a $50 donation to Oasis) is from 5:30-7:00 p.m.; doors will be open to the general public from 7-9 p.m.
