More than 500 women turned out to shop the 2009 Burlington Clothes Exchange. It was a shoppers delight and a bargain hunters dream. Although some feared the economy would have a negative impact on the CE's fundraing efforts, those fears were not realized; a record $55,000 was raised. While the number of shoppers grew by less than 100 from 2008, the average shopper spent about $40 more than she did last year. The bottom line is that we made a ton of money and people had fun!

This event could not have happened without the leadership of The Burlington Clothes Exchange Steering Committee (Alana Lowry, Amy Bacon, Anna Rosenblum Palmer, Deb Lictenfeld, Elzy Wick, Kelli Shonter, Leigh Samuels, Nancy Westbrook and Leslie Halperin), more than 60 volunteers, our generous business and retail partners and the hundreds of shoppers that turn out to shop for a cause!
