On May 20, 2010 more than 700 women turned out to shop at the 9th Annual Clothes Exchange. Our collective buying power helped raise a record $70,000 for King Street Center.

On all counts, the event was a huge success! We broke every goal we set and the feedback we've received so far indicates that attendees had a fantastic experience!

We've been Exchanging Clothes in Burlington at our annual event for nine years, women's clothes, that is. This year, for the first time ever, you can shop for yourself and then pick something up for the kids!

Thanks to our amazingly generous kid's apparel donors, we'll be selling new kid's clothing from local retailers Isabean and Little Luna Blue; the online merchant Babybeansprout; local desinger Lindsey Lu and Vermont's own world famous brand, Zutano.

You can also bid on Zutano Gift cards for their new, fabulous Itzy Bitzy collection, available in two sizes to fit 4-8 pound and 9-13 pound babies.  in our on-line auction or check it out at

*Restrictions: The Give & Get Coupon must be redeemed at the retail location where donations were made, and will expire on July 1, 2010.  In most cases, 20% off coupon applies to the purchase of one item.  The Clothes Exchange requests donations in perfect condition, and retailers have the right not to accept items that do not meet the criteria.

The Clothes Exchange is an annual fundraising event that benefits a local worthy cause and attracts more than 500 women to shop for thousands of new and gently used garments clothing and accessories. For the first time, this year's event will feature new kids clothing. This year’s beneficiary is the King Street Center. To meet demand, the ninth annual Burlington Clothes Exchange will be held at a larger venue this year —the DoubleTree Hotel in South Burlington on May 20, 2010.  Learn more at www.theclothesexchange.org.

On Wednesday, January 27th, Bluebird Tavern will donate 10% of profits to the 2010 Clothes Exchange's beneficiary King Street Center.

If you have not been to Bluebird use this as an excuse to try out one of Vermont's best restaurants - the
food is delicious and the bar is a great place to gather with friends.

Take a break from winter hibernation and have a little fun...after all, it's for a great cause. We'll be there 6 - 10 pm.
