Got friends with great clothes? If so, you can conduct a Clothes Exchange collection for your network of well dress friends.  Simply let your friends (mom's group, book club, running partners) know they can bring their clothes to you or consider hosting a house party or "girls night out" and ask friends to bring their donations with them.

Here are some tips to help you collect your friend's great clothes.

• Let the Burlington Clothes Exchange know about your interest in colecting from your friends by emailing us at info@theclothesexchange.org.
• Decide if you want to organize an event (such as a house party or girls night out) or if you want to collect informally form your friends, over a period of time.
• If you have a house party, be sure to have Clothes Exchange event materials, receipts, Clean Closet, Good Karma stickers and information about our beneficiary on hand for your guests. Contact info@theclothesexchange.org to request stickers and event promotional materials.
• Consider inviting a represeantive from the Clothes Exchange or our beneficiary organization to talk with your guests.
• Promote your drive. Although your promotion efforts will only be publicized within your network of friends, you've still got to get the word out. Consider sending an email or Evite and using Facebook to let your friends know how they can donate and support your efforts.
• Be specific about what you want and be sure to emphasize our interest in quality over quantity.
• Collect!
• If you've got an eye for fashion and a good sense of what we want, feel free to sort through the goods you collect and pass only the cream of the crop on to us. If you choose not to sort, no worries, our team of talented sorters will take of it. If you do sort, be sure not to sort in front of donors.
• Deliver the clothes or make arrangements for a pick-up by contacting us at info@theclothesexchange.org.
• Send a thank you and update your friends about your collection efforts and of course invite them to come shop at the Clothes Exchange.

• If you plan to have a house party, use the opportunity to introduce your friends to our beneficiary organization, invite a representative to do s short presentation on their work and mission.
