Volunteer Opportunities
The Clothes Exchange relies on the support of volunteers. There are many ways to get involved. Read on to learn more.
Collect Clothes
We rely on volunteers to collect clothing donations from their friends, families and co-workers. Whether you collect from your mother and sister or 50 co-workers, every skirt matters and we appreciate all efforts. We've put together a Clothes Collection Guide and Tool Kit to make collecting clothes at work, from your friends or from your clients easy. If you are interested in helping us collect merchandise donations, let us know.
Volunteer at the Event
Volunteers are needed to help set-up, clean-up and work the
event. If you want to shop and volunteer at the event, you can purchase a Shop First ($100) ticket and then begin your shift at 6:30 pm or as soon as you've finished shopping. Otherwise, all volunteers should report for duty on May 20th at 4:45 pm.
Event Volunteers
Volunteers greet guests, staff the dressing room, restock merchandise, act as personal shoppers and stylists, manage traffic, and work the check-out line.
Here's more information about specific roles for event volunteers. Let us know if you are interested in joining one of these Event Volunteer Teams:

Clothes Distribution Crew
After the event is over, before the clean-up crew takes over, the Clothes Distribution team hits the floor to sort and pack-up the left-over clothes. We are looking for people who are quick workers, willing to handle clothes, lug boxes and follow our sorting system. Once clothes are packed up, they will be delivered to several local nonprofit agencies.Your shift starts around 8:45 pm, after the last shopper shops.
Clean-Up Crew
After it's all over, when the last shopper has shopped, and the distribution team has packed up the apparel, a team of energetic folks are needed to pack-up and clean-up. Clean-up begins after the Distribution Team has completed their work (around 9 pm) and takes a couple of hours. Music is provided so clean-up feels more like a dance party!
